I'm back in Kinnerton Street, Knightsbridge today and showing you a display in a shop called egg, of the work of Karen Downing. Terence Conran lists egg as one of his favorite shops, "A wonderful quirky mix of objects of desire". I agree. Here is a picture of their frontage.

Sorry Ham, not on the same frequency here:)
Don't forget it’s the Saint Maxime DP funny caption competition tomorrow.

There's the problem with this format, it's often difficult to precis what you really want to say into a few lines. Actually, I can't imagine actually buying any of them, but that doesn't change the fact that they are "Objects of Desire" in the truest sense of the word. The designs (cermaics, clothes, other stuff) are minimalist, clean and spare. It's what you imagine a designer's designer to look like, all sang-froid and savoir-faire. The moment any of it got brought into my life, it would look entirely out of place.

I like it. The ceramicware is similar to Heath Ceramics from SF.
Very chic.
