A London photo every day. Some pictures will be there for their own sake, some because they are places you may like to see, all because they are part of what makes London what it is. Requests welcome!

Yeah i've heard of the Ivy restaurant...but I didn't hear you have to wait 6mos to get a table!! Wow!
6 months?! apart from the royals, there are people in London who plan their meals 6 months ahead!!!!! LOL, nice post Ham...
Any insight to the menu? Have you eaten there Ham? I mean, Ham, have you eaten there? Ahhh...you know what I mean!
Long while ago, but I don't suppose much has changed - adequate food, nothing spectacular.
Last year my husband obtained a copy of his grandparents' marriage certificate, dated 1903. They were poor, Polish Jews, and his grandfather's address was No1, West St, London W1.
A couple of days later it dawned on us - No 1 West St ? That's the Ivy, innit ? Amazing how 100 years can change the desirability of an address - can you imagine poor asylum seekers getting rooms above the Ivy today ?
There'll be queues outside now, waiting to catch a glimpse of that guy, you know, that... Ham bloke...
