The Sale of the Century

The last Century. Bernie Ecclestone (Mr Formula 1) put up his collection of cars for auction, a selection that hit the automobile highlights of the last century, the century of the motor car.

The beauty of the machinery on sale was awe inspiring, as much as the prices were eye watering. RM Auctions did a splendid job organising and orchestrating events, and the cars mostly met or exceeded their estimates. Including a Mercedes for almost 4,000,000GBP. Phew.

This mascot is the Goddess of Speed from this elegant Packard.
