I just never think about the Salvation Army or the Red Cross being local as well as international. So it was good to see you have them too. We call them "Bell Ringers" here. And a few years ago, many of the big box stores forbid them to be out front on their property with the red kettle ringing their bells. It caused a kind of stink at first but then that dryed up and they still are seldom see at the larger stores in the area.
Good point. Thanks for remembering what's really important. It's a bit contradictory to run past those in need while convincing ourselves that we're somehow out practicing the Christmas spirit...
