Bank Holiday Monday Funfair

There is something ineffably sad about an empty funfair. Not just for the barkers and carnies for who it must represent a disaster, but in and of itself - the hollow ring of whitened bones. It was no surprise, given the weather, that few people were there, the bigger surprise was that, as ever, there were a still some stalwarts who hadn't let the freezing weather and the snow put them off.
