Light a candle

It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

Amnesty International was founded in London in 1961, with its genesis occurring on the London Underground; something of which we Londoners should be truly proud.

Amnesty have just launched a campaign "Human Rights For China" highlighting the human rights abuses that continue in China.They have produced a hard-hitting cartoon, you can see here. Personally, I'm all in favour of engagement, but without this sort of action to draw attention to the wrongdoing, all it becomes is appeasement.
