Maltesers
The light-hearted title is not intended as disrespect to those that suffered and died in the Siege of Malta, one of the pivotal moments in WWII.It took sixty years for this simple but elegant memorial to be erected; if you are around the Tower of London, pay a visit and read what happened.

Sad that it took so long for the memorial to be erected.
My dad was in Malta during the war when he was in the Royal Navy. The island was amazing to withstand all that battering.
I visited there about 10 years ago and the war museum in Valetta is a great place to see. It's not showy or elegant, it's very poignant.
