What's Your Impression?
One of the things about the proliferation of street art is that some rather good artists use it as their gallery - in this case James Cochran.

A London photo every day. Some pictures will be there for their own sake, some because they are places you may like to see, all because they are part of what makes London what it is. Requests welcome!

Mostly not good, Ham, but occasionally one slips him/her self through. Carolyn at Oakland Daily Photo hosts a Monday Mural meme, and we occasionally see some quality work there. Consider joining us.
Good one indeed!
I hope the artist will manage to get his art,- where the people who pay for art normally are.
Mr. Cochran has talents!

I recommend reading Painting the Porcupine City, a novel by Ben Monopoli, to gain some understanding of what motivates street artists. The character in the book is an unofficial artist, i.e. he paints what is considered to be graffiti (in Boston, Massachusettes), but the book explores the question as to whether he is in fact truly an artist rather than a vandal. It is also a love story, exploring the relationship between the painter and Fletcher (who is his boyfriend for a while) and others in his life and in Fletcher's. I strongly recommend it.
