Pillars of Society



This is an internal view of Liverpool Street Station, and one you might think is no longer available to see. However, if you go to the far right of the upper walkway and venture down an unlikely looking path, this is what you'll see.

At least it seems to look resonably well preserved. Thank goodness though that the old, tatty, leaking, inelegant, but listed, roof (and wall!) of London Bridge Station is finally going. I'm all for preserving our heritage but we shouldn't have to live in museum pieces JUST because they're old. :)

You should be able to get a similar shot back into the station from Exchange Square, built over the far end of the tracks (just visible in your photo).
