Hills

We think of London as flat, with hills to the north and south, but the city was founded on two hills. Over the years they appear to have been flattened, but the view down from Percy Circus reminds you of how it was.

  1. I never thought of London as hilly.

  2. Anyone who has ever walked through London realizes that it is anything but flat, except maybe out east, towards the Essex marshes. You might not see it (though as your photos shows, even that is not quite true) but you certainly feel it.
