A London photo every day. Some pictures will be there for their own sake, some because they are places you may like to see, all because they are part of what makes London what it is. Requests welcome!

Hills
We think of London as flat, with hills to the north and south, but the city was founded on two hills. Over the years they appear to have been flattened, but the view down from Percy Circus reminds you of how it was.
Anyone who has ever walked through London realizes that it is anything but flat, except maybe out east, towards the Essex marshes. You might not see it (though as your photos shows, even that is not quite true) but you certainly feel it.
I never thought of London as hilly.
