A Striking Feature

Shot with Olympus E520
This clock, outside 187 Fleet Street, is not only notable for the two giants (Gog & Magog?) striking the quarter hours, but for dating back to 1671 and being the first clock in London with a minute hand. I couldn't show you that and the giants, though.

The Punch Tavern

Shot with Olympus E520
Also following on from the News International picture is this - the Punch Tavern in Fleet Street. Punch Magazine, or "The London Charivari" was a satirical magazine that enjoyed success from 1841 to 2002, containing a mixture of literature and gossip. Most famous for its cartoons, these days you can browse and buy their back catalogue here.
